Young Adult Literary Fiction Novella

Book Blurb:
Color, color everywhere! How it affects the mood of a story can either lighten our hearts or shade us in sorrows.
In this literary fiction collection, color is the main character, and the settings and people the stage. Come along on a journey across worlds and times, and experience how the colors command you with every page. You never know what you'll find hidden, gleaming within the typed lines. For some stories or poems, there are no clear beginnings, middles, and ends; they just flow where the brush takes them. Others are gentle hues of inks and blues or sharp reds and earthy browns. Stop and look around. What do you see?
This novella contains 6 poems and 4 short stories that make for a quick, fun read.

Book Blurb:
Two queens, two kings. One destiny that will impact generations.
Blessed with dragon fire, twin sisters Androthia and Esmeralda are chosen to bring peace to their world. The paths they choose, however, prove to be very different, resulting in an all-out war - a war that leaves them on opposite sides. Will they join together in the end to save those they love, or will all be lost...?
The progression of my series:
This series has been in the works since 2013 and is one that I consider to be the closest to my heart! Yes, I have worked on it on and off for the past 13 years, had different drafts written up, even swapped around what I thought was going to be book 1 (events that I previously had planned for book 1 will now be book 3!), but that just gets complicated to explain, haha. In the past, I always referred to my YA work in progress as "Spark". That was the temporary title for the main manuscript and others in my planned series (Spark1, Spark2, Spark3).
More recently, in May of 2022, I was able to curate solid outlines for the 3 books (after years of back and forths) and have been running forward with book 1 ever since. I got a completed draft together in July 2023. I used most of 2024 to make edits and fill in blanks, then I sent it to an editor in November 2024. I got some great feedback from him! I've looked at it some in 2025, but mainly sent it to a few trusted friends to read and didn't push myself since we were prepping for and then had a baby, and I decided to get my picture book published that same year (since it was ready to go already) - launching me into my indie publishing journey. Going into 2026, I was surviving my first year as a new parent and decided to get my novella together and published (since again, it was a project that was mostly ready to go). So, while "Twin Fire" might have taken a backseat to other projects, it has still been on my mind, and I have awesome feedback to apply! I can't wait to get it finished and out into the world finally!
I would consider my YA novel to be an epic fantasy adventure story. It's got sisters/found family, royalty, good (light) vs. evil (dark), dragons, and sweet romance sprinkled in. Think of something like Pirates of the Caribbean (there will be pirates in Spark2), Avatar: The Last Airbender, How To Train Your Dragon, Maleficent, Lord of the Rings, and The Princess Bride.
If that sounds interesting to you, then prepare yourself to see more about Book 1 in my YA fantasy series! I'm very excited to share more things in the future!
